Under the fourth carbon budget, government will aim to reduce emissions domestically as far as practical and affordable. It will put the UK on course to cut emissions by at least 80% by 2050
The 2011 Budget announced that the Climate Change Agreements scheme has been extended until 2023. The existing participating sectors will continue to be eligible for the scheme and the Levy discount
The CRC is a mandatory scheme aimed at improving energy efficiency and cutting emissions in large public and private sector organisations.
These organisations are responsible for around 10% of the UK’s emissions.
